Ride the pet with the higher current movement value, keep hatching eggs for upgrades, and recheck pets when they gain a mutation. Faster hatches and mutations are both part of Ride A Pet's progression.1
For quicker egg runs, also cut out missed pickups and unnecessary detours. A better mount saves travel time; a clear route helps you keep that advantage.
1. Choose your ride by the movement field
At My Plot, compare the lightning-marked value on the pets you can use. Start with the higher current reading when movement is your goal.2
Keep the comparison on the same screen. For choosing what to ride now, a pet's current value is more useful than comparing one pet's active bonuses with another pet's base entry.
The nearby $…/s field belongs to the cash decision. A strong earner is worth keeping, but choose your travel pet separately.
Use SpaceQT's 0:05 frame to locate those fields.
Approach your chosen pet and use its Ride prompt. On keyboard, use E when E Ride is displayed. Make sure you are riding the intended pet before heading toward an egg.
2. Give each new hatch a movement check
After a hatch, compare the result with your current mount before leaving the plot.
If its movement reading is higher, take it on a short trip near home. Make one turn and stop beside a landmark. This is enough to learn whether you need to turn earlier or slow down more when approaching an egg.
Keep your previous mount while you get comfortable with the replacement. You do not need a stopwatch or a full testing session to notice repeated collisions or missed stops.
If the new pet is slower, check its cash rate before dismissing it. It may improve your plot instead.
3. Turn egg hunting into more chances at an upgrade
Check Track for an available target and read its luck requirement. Then prepare your radar and basket before leaving. This keeps the search focused on an egg you can actually attempt.3
Choose a route you can bring an egg back along. Once you collect it, return to My Plot and finish the hatch before taking on another long search.
If the journey keeps ending with a broken egg, shorten the next attempt. Look for a more manageable target, remove the shopping detour, or switch to a quicker pet you already own. Repeating the same failed return gives you no new hatch to compare.4
The egg list at 5:35 in ItzVexo's video shows where to look for listed luck requirements.
4. Recheck a pet after a mutation
A mutation can improve a pet you already own, so a familiar pet may become worth riding again.1
When a mutation notification appears, find the named pet and read its updated movement value. Compare that result with your current mount before replacing either one.5
Continue collecting and hatching while you look for upgrades. Waiting at the plot for a particular mutation leaves the rest of your progression on hold.
When you still feel slow
| What is happening? | What to change next |
|---|---|
| Movement is smooth, but open-ground travel is slow | Compare the movement readings of your available pets. |
| You reach the area quickly but keep passing the egg | Ease off movement earlier and line up beside the pickup. |
| Most of the trip is spent searching or doubling back | Use the radar's target guidance and keep a clear return route. |
| The whole view stutters, freezes, or jumps | Work through Roblox performance troubleshooting. |
For choppy visuals, open Roblox's Settings and lower Graphics Quality. On desktop, Esc opens the in-experience menu. Closing unnecessary resource-heavy apps may also help.6
If players jump around or interactions arrive late, use technical troubleshooting.
Common mistakes
Replacing a useful pet because another one looks rarer. Compare the movement field first.
Approaching every pickup at full speed. Missing the interaction costs time even with a quick mount.
Spending before identifying the delay. Getting lost, failing the return, and having a choppy client need different fixes.
